Bio


 

Ryan De Franco grew up in a Volvo 240 along the back roads of I-75. His narrative and documentary cinematography has screened at Cannes, Sundance, HotDocs, and MoMA PS1.

At home in New York and LA, Ryan’s television work includes productions for IFC, AMC, CW, USA, and CNN, as well as commercials for American Express, L'Oreal, Tourneau, MAC, Topshop, Marriott, Intel, Patti Smith, Comcast, Intel, Kenzo, Reed Krakoff, Uniqlo, Chandon, and Domaines Barons de Rothschild.

His projects have been featured in Interview, V, New York, the Fader, Esquire, and The New York Times. In 2015, Ryan traveled to the front lines of the Iraq/ISIS conflict and across the Rwandan countryside — filming Jihan and Kagame, two interpersonal documentaries, both currently in post-production.
